  Introduction to the Methods of softening Water

  Natural water containing only a small amount of soluble calcium and magnesium salts, or hard water treated by water softening equipment. Natural soft water generally refers to river water, river water and lake water(Freshwater lake)Water. Softened hard water refers to water with calcium and magnesium salt contents reduced to 1.0~50 Milligram/The softened water obtained after lifting. Although boiling can turn temporarily hard water into soft water, it is extremely uneconomical to use this method to treat large amounts of water in industry. The methods of softening water include:

  ②Phosphate soft water method.

When water boils, calcium and magnesium will not precipitate out in the form of precipitates, thus preventing the formation of scale. This method is not suitable for softening drinking water.

  ③Ion exchange method.

  Although zeolite and ion exchangers are both insoluble in water, the sodium ions and hydrogen ions in them can undergo exchange reactions with calcium and magnesium ions in hard water, causing the calcium and magnesium ions to be adsorbed by zeolite, artificial zeolite and ion exchangers and thus removed. Zeolites and ion exchangers that have become ineffective after long-term use can be reused through regeneration, so this method is both economical and effective for softening water.
