How to prevent Perlite resin from being contaminated by organic substances? 1. These phenomena are extremely similar to iron contamination. To distinguish them, take a small amount of resin sample and add it to a test tube, then add a small amount of water and shake it continuously for two to five minutes. If a rainbow phenomenon is observed, it can be determined that the resin has been contaminated by organic matter. Another method is to add sodium chloride with a concentration of 5% to 10% to the sample test tube. After leaving it for two to four hours, if the solution turns yellowish-green and the resin color becomes lighter, it can be proved that the resin has undergone iron contamination.  

Ii. Treatment Methods for Organic Pollution caused by Perlite cation Exchange Resin

Mix a sodium chloride solution with a concentration of 8% to 10% with a sodium hydroxide solution of 2% to 4%.That is to say, industrial salt used in water softeners, water softening equipment, and fully automatic water softening equipment for boilersHeat between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius to allow the resin to undergo two to four alkaline washes, each lasting about six to eight hours, with water rinsing in between.
